What is Compaction Grouting?
Compaction Grouting, a form of soil stabilization, is done by pumping a cementitious mixture known as grout into the ground through threaded steel casing under high pressure to fill voids or fissures in limestone.
Once the voids or fissures are filled, then compaction of the soils will be done by compressing the soil with grout. Starting at the limestone depth, the steel casing will be extracted while grouting to compress the competent soil from limestone to upper soils.
