Natalia I. has lived in her old St. Petersburg, Florida home for years and was experiencing settlement to her foundation with visible damage to the exterior brick walls. She wanted to make sure there were no other underlying problems with the home, so she called LRE Foundation Repair to find out. LRE completed an inspection and determined shifting and unstable soil conditions plagued this home and designed a solution that consisted of helical pier installation around the exterior, coupled with PolyLevel injection. Helical piers are galvanized steel tubes that are drilled into the soil and affixed to the home with metal brackets. The piers were able to gently lift the side of the home to stabilize and relevel the structure. Next, PolyLevel, an expandable polyurethane material, was injected into the soils to compact them and fill in any possible voids. These two systems are often used to work together to stabilize foundations for years to come. This homeowner was not only happy with the end result and finished project, but relieved to not have to worry about her home anymore.
Over time, large cracks had formed in the walls of Caprish’s garage in St. Petersburg, Florida, raising serious concerns about her home’s foundation. She reached out to LRE Foundation Repair for help, and we sent one of our expert Design Specialists to conduct a free inspection.
After a thorough evaluation, we discovered that the foundation was settling due to unstable soil beneath the garage. To fix the issue, we recommended installing our helical pier system to lift and permanently stabilize the foundation.
With Caprish’s approval, our team installed each pier deep into the ground until they reached strong, load-bearing soil layers. The weight of the home was then transferred to these stable layers, and we successfully lifted the foundation, effectively closing the cracks in the walls.
Now that her garage is fully stabilized, Caprish has lasting peace of mind knowing her home is protected from further settlement damage.
After removing a large tree near her home in St. Petersburg, FL, Deborah began noticing serious structural issues at one corner of her foundation. Because her home is built over a crawl space, the loss of support beneath the home created voids that caused the foundation to sink and the exterior stem wall to separate—creating visible openings that could be seen from inside the home.
Deborah reached out to LRE Foundation Repair, and one of our experienced Design Specialists performed a free, comprehensive inspection to assess the damage. Based on the findings, a customized solution was designed using helical piers to lift and permanently stabilize the compromised section of the foundation.
Once approved, our team installed each pier deep into solid, load-bearing soil and secured each of them to the foundation's footer. This process transferred the weight of the home to stable soil layers and allowed the affected area to be carefully raised back into position. With the repairs complete, the structural cracks are now closed, and this corner of Deborah’s home is fully stabilized and protected against future settlement.
Patrick K. bought his home in Saint Petersburg, Florida around three years ago. However, he has been experiencing settlement and a shifting foundation ever since. He tried fixing many of the cosmetic repairs on his own but to no avail. So he decided to call LRE Foundation Repair to identify the root cause of the problem and fix it once and for all. After conducting a thorough home inspection, LRE decided to install a SmartJack system in the crawlspace and helical piers around the perimeter of the foundation where proper footings were missing. Loose and unstable soils had compromised the interior floors, so they installed galvanized steel posts, or jacks, under the home to stabilize and lift the floors back to level. The part of the crawlspace that had pulled away from the home was stabilized and gaping cracks were closed with the installation of helical piers. Once the project was complete, the homeowner was relieved to finally enjoy his permanently stabilized "new" home.
After residents of a condominium community in St. Petersburg, FL, began noticing cracks appearing in the walls, the homeowners’ association contacted LRE Foundation Repair to inspect the condition of the building’s foundation. One of our local Design Specialists performed a complimentary inspection and discovered soil washout beneath the structure that had created significant voids, causing the foundation to shift.
To correct the issue, we designed a permanent stabilization plan using our helical pier system. Once the HOA approved the project, our team carefully excavated around the affected areas of the foundation and advanced each pier deep into the ground until stable, load-bearing soil was reached. The piers were then securely attached to the foundation footing, transferring the weight of the building to stronger soil layers capable of providing lasting support.
With the new support system in place, the foundation was carefully lifted back to its proper position, closing the wall cracks in the process. The building is now permanently stabilized and supported by a reliable foundation system, giving residents confidence that their property is structurally sound and protected for the future.
