Foundation Repair Photo Album: Stabilizing Exterior Staircase in Southwest Ranches, Florida
In Southwest Ranches, Florida, Altairis noticed the exterior staircase of their multi-story home was beginning to separate from the main structure. The staircase's columns, supported by a concrete slab, had shifted and sunk due to underlying soil settlement. After reaching out to LRE Foundation Repair for a free inspection, one of our Design Specialists visited the property to assess the situation. Upon evaluating the staircase, the specialist recommended installing helical piers beneath each column to provide permanent stabilization. Altairis agreed to the plan, and our team began by carefully removing sections of the concrete slab to access the foundation beneath each column. The helical piers were then installed deep into stable, load-bearing soil, and the weight of the staircase was successfully transferred to these solid layers. Once installation was complete, the previously removed concrete was replaced, concealing the piers. Altairis was very pleased with the results and now has peace of mind knowing their exterior staircase is permanently stabilized and secure.
