Soil Erosion Around Foundation
The homeowner had recurring flooding issues around their home, leading to the soil around the foundation eroding over time.
Signs of Settlement
Early signs of foundation settlement were identified around the home, including noticeable gaps forming between the screened-in pool enclosure and the surrounding walls.
Preparing for Helical Pier Installation
The LRE team begins the foundation repair and stabilization process by preparing for the installation of the helical pier system by excavating soil to expose the foundation's footer.
Installing Helical Piers
The helical piers are driven into the ground until strong, load-bearing soil layers deep below the surface are reached.
Stabilizing Foundation with Helical Piers
Once the helical piers reach the deeper, load-bearing soil layers, they are bracketed to the foundation's footer, allowing the weight of the home to be carefully transferred to the stable soil below.
Complete Helical Pier Installation
The helical piers have now been fully installed, permanently stabilizing the foundation.
Concealing Helical Piers
Following the installation of the helical pier system, the LRE team replaces the previously removed soil to conceal the piers and restore the area to a seamless appearance.
