Matthew had just purchased his new home in Palm City, Florida, and immediately noticed signs of cupping in the floors. Concerned about potential humidity and moisture issues in the crawl space beneath the home, he reached out to LRE Foundation Repair to schedule a free inspection. Our Design Specialist visited Matthew’s home and, upon entering the crawl space, detected high levels of humidity. The specialist explained that the elevated humidity was contributing to the floor cupping and warned that, if left unaddressed, it could lead to further damage and mold growth.
We created a comprehensive plan to fully encapsulate the crawl space using the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System, providing complete protection against humidity and moisture damage. Matthew approved the plan, and our team quickly set to work, sealing the entire crawl space with the CleanSpace moisture barrier. For added protection, an EverLast Crawl Space Door was installed at the entrance to create an airtight seal, preventing humidity and pests from entering.

An inspection by the LRE Design Specialist revealed elevated humidity and moisture levels in the home's crawl space, creating an environment prone to damage and mold growth.

The LRE team begins the CleanSpace installation process by placing drainage matting on the crawl space floor to help channel any flooding rainwater out of the space.
Installation of CleanSpace Moisture Barrier
The entire crawl space is sealed with the CleanSpace moisture barrier to prevent moisture penetration to the wooden support joists, as well as inhibit the growth of mold.
Crawl Space Dehumidifier
A specialized dehumidifier is installed with the CleanSpace system to keep the air in the crawl space clean and dry throughout the year.
