Insufficient Crawl Space Support

Many of the block piers in the home's crawl space had settled into the soil below, resulting in inadequate support for the floor joists. One pier in particular was even set on a smaller block at its base - a clear indication of instability.
Stop-gap Supports
To provide supplemental support for several settled block piers, temporary stop-gap measures had been installed. However, these solutions proved both insufficient and unsafe for maintaining the home's structural integrity.
Interior Wall Cracks
In addition to the instability in the home's floors, the homeowner noticed cracks forming in the interior walls and ceiling, caused by the lack of stable support in the crawl space below.
