A homeowner in Winter Haven, FL, was preparing to list their home for sale, but needed to have the uneven floors inside leveled and stabilized first. The home has a crawl space, and they called LRE Foundation Repair to request an inspection to check for any structural issues. One of our Design Specialists visited the home and entered the crawl space to find that many of the original block piers supporting the home’s floor joists had settled, and many makeshift supports comprising cinder blocks were put in place with little effect. Many of the floor joists and subfloor were damaged in the process and needed to be replaced. We created a plan to fully repair the crawl space and provide permanent stabilization to the home’s floor joists with our SmartJack system. After the homeowner reviewed and approved this plan, our team went to work repairing the crawl space. First, the damaged floor joists and subfloors were replaced. Next, the SmartJack system was installed throughout the crawl space to provide durable and permanent support. Once the work was complete, this home’s crawl space foundation was fully repaired and stabilized, allowing the homeowner to confidently proceed with placing their home up for sale.
