After Hurricane Ian damaged the area of Sanibel, Florida, Mr. P.'s home suffered severe washout causing gaping holes under the foundation of his home. He called LRE Foundation Repair for help. Working with structural engineers, LRE was able to design a solution that included flowable fill, a fluid-like slurry grout mixture that cures, fills voids and creates a stable foundation. The material was poured around the perimeter of home filling in the necessary gaps, and once cured PolyLevel, a two-part expandable polyurethane material, was injected to the needed areas to add compaction to the loose soils below. Once his foundation was stabilized, the homeowner was pleased with the finished product and confident he could continue the rebuild to the rest of his home.
Eric in Sanibel, Florida, needed an effective solution to divert excess rainwater flowing toward his home from a nearby street culvert. His home has an elevated foundation and he knew the damaging impact the flooding water had on the support structure. He reached out to us at LRE Foundation Repair to help provide a solution. We sent one of our expert Design Specialists out to Eric’s home to conduct a full home inspection to gain a better understanding of the problem he was facing. After careful analysis of the property, the specialist created a plan to install a new, effective drainage system for the home. First, a French drain would be installed around the perimeter of the affected area of the foundation to collect and route water away from the area. Next, the home’s downspouts that are connected to the gutter system on the roof would be connected directly to the underground French drain and pipe system to prevent further flooding in the area. To help further remove excess rainwater during torrential downpours, a Liberty Sump Pump would be included along with the new drainage system. With Eric’s approval, our team went to work installing the new drainage system, helping ensure that his home’s foundation would be safeguarded against the negative impact of pooling water. Following the completion of the installation, Eric can now feel relieved knowing his home was prepared to withstand the heavy Florida rainstorms.
A homeowner located in Cape Coral, FL contacted LRE after growing tired of their unlevel driveway which was creating a concerning trip hazard. After LRE's concrete specialist evaluated the homeowner's concerns, it was determined that the soil beneath the slab had begun to erode. Thus causing the slab to sink and settle, resulting in the trip hazard. To remedy this issue, LRE injected their specially patented PolyLevel foam underneath the slab to lift and level the slab back to its original height. This homeowner no longer has to worry about unsafe conditions around their home.
Louis R. was growing concerned as he noticed his pool deck was sinking and large cracks were forming where it met the foundation. Before it could get any worse, he decided to call LRE Foundation Repair for some help. LRE completed a whole home inspection and determined that poor grading/sloping of the property toward the water accelerated the erosion process. Washed-out and loose soil conditions were causing voids and settlement under the deck, so LRE devised a solution that consisted of PolyLevel. This two-part, polyurethane material was injected under the concrete slab through small holes, and flowed through loose soils, expanding and filling the voids as it went. PolyLevel also lifts concrete slabs, like this pool deck back to level, and once the job was finished, the homeowner was thrilled his pool deck was level, cracks closed, and could finally rest easy knowing it was permanently stabilized.
After dealing with his sidewalk trip hazard for years, Terrance M. of Cape Coral, Florida finally decided to deal with the problem once and for all. LRE Foundation Repair visited Terrance’s home and found unstable soil underneath the sidewalk, causing the slabs to become unlevel. LRE utilized their PolyLevel system to raise the sidewalk back up to its original elevation. Terrance’s sidewalks are now permanently level and smooth, eliminating trip hazard worries.
