Eileen in Ocala, Florida, had a concrete walkway at her home that had sustained heavy settlement damage, with sections of the slabs having cracked and becoming severely uneven. With plans to eventually sell her home, Eileen reached out to us at LRE Foundation Repair to schedule a free inspection in hopes of finding a solution to repair the walkway without having to replace the concrete.
Our expert Design Specialist visited her home and carefully examined the damage, pinpointing soil settlement beneath the concrete as the cause. To address the issue, our specialist created a plan to fully level and repair the walkway using our Two-Part Concrete Protection System. First, our team injected PolyLevel beneath the slabs to lift, level, and permanently stabilize the concrete. Next, the cracks were filled and sealed with NexusPro to prevent water intrusion and enhance the walkway’s appearance.
With her walkway now fully leveled and repaired, Eileen was relieved to avoid the expense of full replacement and can now move forward with the rest of her home’s repairs as she prepares to place it on the market.
Sally T. contacted LRE Foundation Repair after becoming concerned that her front porch might be sinking at her home in Ocala, Florida. LRE inspected the property and observed large gaps that had formed between the concrete steps and the brick walls. The damage was caused by years of erosion and washed-out soils due lack of proper water diversion. To solve the problem, LRE's design team utilized PolyLevel, a polymer injectable material that expands on contact to lift concrete back into place. PolyLevel was injected around the affected area and closely monitored as the concrete was raised to close the gaps. Once the maximum lift was achieved, the material quickly cured, enabling LRE to finish the job by adding a new drainage system. Sally was thrilled with the results and can now rest easy knowing her porch is permanently stabilized and protected from future settlement.
