The surface of Chris’s concrete walkway leading up to his front door in Riverview, Florida, had increasingly become uneven in recent years, with the slabs settling further into the ground and creating notable trip hazards as a result. After calling LRE Foundation Repair to inspect the concrete, our team quickly responded by implementing the Two-Part Concrete Protection System. First, PolyLevel was administered to level the settling slabs and level the concrete. Next, the control joints between each slab were sealed with NexusPro to help prevent cracking and safeguard against water from seeping underneath the concrete. The result was an even, level surface for the walkway, with the added benefit of long-term stabilization against further settlement. Chris’s trip hazard concerns are now relieved, and he can feel secure knowing his concrete walkway is permanently stabilized.
Alicia S. in Gibsonton, FL, noticed her back patio chimney was separating from the house while planning to paint her home. Concerned about the issue, she contacted LRE Foundation Repair for an inspection. Our Design Specialist identified soil settlement as the culprit behind the detachment. To address this, we devised a plan to stabilize the chimney's foundation using galvanized steel helical piers. These piers were mechanically driven into the ground to stabilize the loose soil and lift the foundation. Our team successfully installed these piers around the chimney, discreetly burying them underground, leaving no visible trace of the work. Now, Alicia can confidently move forward with painting her home, knowing her chimney is secure.
Maria Q. from Lake Wales, FL was concerned about excess moisture getting trapped in the crawl space under her home. She reached out to LRE Foundation Repair for assistance, and an experienced LRE Design Specialist conducted a thorough inspection of her residence. The specialist confirmed that the crawl space had excess moisture, which had caused mold to damage the wooden floor joists and had negatively affected indoor air quality. To solve this issue, the specialist recommended replacing the damaged joists and encapsulating the crawl space with our CleanSpace system, specifically designed to manage moisture, regulate airflow, and prevent pests. This encapsulation process involves covering the crawl space with a waterproof liner to effectively block moisture from penetrating the wooden floor joists. Additionally, a crawl space drainage system with a sump pump and dehumidifier was installed to keep the area dry and clean. The LRE team completed the project, and Maria's crawl space was significantly improved, ensuring long-term stability for her home's foundation and air quality.
Larry and Lori from Lake Wales, Florida, were dealing with a serious tripping hazard that had developed in the concrete of their front porch, so they reached out to us at LRE Foundation Repair for help. After a thorough inspection by our Design Specialist, we confirmed that significant soil erosion beneath the porch had caused the concrete to settle.
To fix the issue, our production team got to work by injecting our PolyLevel solution beneath the affected slabs, lifting, leveling, and stabilizing the porch quickly and effectively. Now, Larry and Lori can enjoy their front porch without worry—the tripping hazard is gone, and the concrete is fully leveled and permanently stabilized.
Mike, from Melbourne Beach, Florida, asked LRE Foundation Repair for help repairing the concrete pad supporting his home's AC unit. A significant crack had emerged along the center of the concrete, and the pad was visibly detaching from the exterior wall of the home. Following a thorough inspection, it was discovered that a substantial amount of soil beneath the concrete had been washed away, resulting in the settling of the pad into the ground. The LRE team implemented the Two-Part Concrete Protection System, which involved utilizing PolyLevel for lifting and stabilizing the concrete and NexusPro to seal the crack, preventing water intrusion underneath the pad. Mike’s concrete is now repaired and stabilized, and he can feel assured that the pad is safeguarded against future settlement problems.
