As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the local community, LRE Foundation Repair partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to help build beds for children in need.
Brooksville, FL – October 2024 – Earlier this month, LRE Foundation Repair had the privilege of partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), a nationwide nonprofit on a heartfelt mission to ensure every child has a bed to sleep in. Guided by their motto, “No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town,” SHP brings volunteers together across the country to build and deliver beds to children and families in need.
The Tampa chapter of SHP joined forces with LRE team members for a special build event — and in just one morning, they constructed 22 brand-new beds for local children. Each bed, complete with a mattress, bedding, and pillow, represents more than just a piece of furniture; it symbolizes comfort, security, and care for families who need it most.
The experience was deeply rewarding for all involved. LRE team members rolled up their sleeves, sanded and assembled bed frames, and shared in the joy of knowing their work would bring restful nights and brighter mornings to children right here in their community.
“It’s incredible what a few hours of teamwork can do,” said one LRE volunteer. “Knowing these beds are going to kids who didn’t have one before — that’s something that really sticks with you.”
LRE looks forward to continuing its partnership with SHP in the future and exploring more opportunities to serve the community together.
Founded in 2012, Sleep in Heavenly Peace has grown into a national volunteer movement dedicated to fighting child bedlessness across the U.S. Through local chapters, SHP brings volunteers, businesses, and community organizations together to build, deliver, and assemble beds for children in need — ensuring every child has a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
