The plan included installing new channel drains in the driveway and walkway to capture surface water and direct it through an underground drainage pipe to a relief drain safely away from the home. The home’s downspouts were also tied directly into the subsurface system to prevent runoff from collecting near the foundation. For added protection during heavy rainfall, a Liberty sump pump was incorporated to accelerate water removal.
