Drainage Solutions Photo Album: Effective Exterior Drainage System Installation in Longwood, Florida
Ken from Longwood, Florida, contacted LRE Foundation Repair to address persistent drainage issues at the back of his home. Our Design Specialist visited the property to assess the situation and develop a solution. Ken noted that flooding frequently occurred around his pool deck and along the rear of the home. We proposed installing a high-quality channel drain within the concrete pool deck to capture rainwater and direct it through a subsurface drainage pipe system to a relief drain. Additionally, the nearby downspout connected to the home's gutter system would be connected directly beneath the subsurface drainage pipe to prevent water from discharging around the deck. After reviewing and approving the plan, Ken’s project began. Our team carefully removed sections of concrete to install the channel drain, then laid the subsurface pipes and connected them to the relief drain beneath the yard. Finally, the removed sod was replaced for a seamless finish. With the new exterior drainage system in place, Ken’s home is now protected from pooling water and potential water damage.
